Tomaatti, I attended a session with my job coach today. He had no sense of humour and having worked in the same industry (which I told him so he didn't have to mansplain the system to me) I already knew it was a complete waste of time. But now they can tick my name off and I can trot along to the Job Expo that he made me sign up to in the hopes of finding a job in construction, recruitment or as a motor bike rider for Aus Post. As it is being held at a premises I am well familiar with and know the owner I said I'll attend and if nothing comes of it at least I can say hi to #### (owner).

I actually left feeling more depressed than when I went in. I woke up around 0500 and couldn't get back to sleep and now I have a headache so I think I'll go lie down, put Netflix on the lappytop and hopefully fall asleep so some dreadful show that has attracted my attention.

Tomaatti I know we share a brain but I worry my part is like that of a ginger cat and only has 1 cell at times. Hence the watching of Selling Sunset. I mean, just WHY?! Oh I know, it's because I can stare, stupefied and if I fall asleep and miss an episode or 3 it won't make a difference to the plot!

Hope you're doing okay, have you managed to get to the 'Vegas to get your bed?

@ENKELI i have called in sick for 2 job 'expos' so far. the only jobs ever heard of at DES place are maccas, the smelter and something else horrible. [edited by moderator]. ive dead -ended after trying to get training job, think going back on sick certs. had enough of DES (again). still drowsy after 2 naps. woken up twice today talking to antagonist in dream . plus got coldsore. think cos did not drink yest. Been doing it too often lately. plus hate waking at 6pm thinking its 6am ha ha

Had a nice shower, got clean undies on and relatively clean tops going to have a shave and force myself to go and pick up reserved newspapers that have been waiting for me a week already and go get mail from post office , ha. got washing on and been to local shop, so today does not qualify as a total waste lol @Glisten @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @PeppyPatti

@TAB yes, Job Expos - Waste of F*&^ing Time. I like your idea, of calling in sick. Job coach said oh you get points for attending. I said yeah I've already fulfilled my requirement. He says but you can bank your points. I replied yeah I've already banked as many as I'm allowed to.

I tried to explain to the bod that I've already been told by a couple of recruitment agencies that I am unlikely to get reception or customer facing work because of my missing front teeth. Employers aren't going to want someone with huge gaps in their mouths greeting their clients/customers.

You have had a very productive day. I am so desperate to get out of the house but if there is a storm looming I need to keep check on the roof as when it rains heavily the roof leaks into my bedroom and I am stuck covering my furniture with tarps and placing buckets in precarious places.

Buy a house they said, it will be fun they said. Oh and when I claimed the roof damage on insurance, the insurance company I was with said that there was too much damage and cancelled my policy. The money I got from them wasn't enough to cover repairs so I have to wait until I have enough money to get the roof fixed. Or turn my bedroom into an indoor pool.

I have also considered going back on sick cert but I've got to find work to pay for mortgage and roof.
Plus, Mr Murder Mittens is getting fussy about his food now. I did tell him to find his own but I am now afraid to go to sleep lest he unalive me in my sleep!!

Just think, once you've got your newspapers you'll have something else to do. And glad you've got clean undies on, in case you need an ambulance!! 🤣🤣🤣
