The bad mood is very evident at the moment, I snapped at the barista who asked for my name when it's on my loyalty card
I'm depleted from emotional energy from stupid flashbacks yesterday
And all I really want is an actual physical hug

While I can't provide a physical one, I'm sending you a virtual hug @avant-garde
That's fair enough that you'd be feeling emotionally drained today, is there something that might help to restore some of that energy a bit? For me sometimes just hibernating in my home and having minimal contact helps me, maybe putting on a comforting movie or doing a cosy hobby. Or other times putting on my headphones, blasting some music and going for a walk to get fresh air helps too. Anything come to mind for you?

@avant-garde I don't know if Spinifex publishing is still around in Melbourne but I did notice people in our community getting published books with them. Had another friend in years gone by who was a poet and his publisher failed to pay him. I don't think it was Spinifex that did that. Just be careful there are publishers that have preyed on the mentally ill in the past and have been egregious with their activities. I hope all your creative juices keep flowing while you are immersed in the writing process and take pride in what you do over the course of this years writing challenge

Thrashed in my sleep last night, inflamed wrist, dodgy ankles and so very not awake, strong coffee will be required I think, after the 30 drive to where I need to be...

Good Morning @Glisten!
So glad the heatwave is over. I hope you can get something organised for the cat. It may have been microchipped. I'm in an area where there aren't snakes really. Occasionally in grassy areas they gravitate to parking lots around here but I haven't seen any. You got to be in the right space to care for animals. After my last dog with health problems requiring fortnightly visits to the vet for immunotherapy and specialist appts, creams, drops and ointments, palliative care I just wasn't ready to do it again. That was 11 years ago. If anything goes wrong with this cat I will surrender it. I e-mailed a few cat agencies but they are taking no more cats. Saw fb friend who runs an outback animal sanctuary say the same thing so no point trying
