Hi everyone! Well my life has been rather adventurous recently. I had been having a miserable time with pain which had seen me tottering to the local A&E for help. On July 2 a friend drove me up and I ended up staying in the observation ward overnight. Around about 0730 on the third, everything went pear shaped and I died albiet briefly when my blood pressure bottomed out. Off to Critical Care on some potent blood pressure propping up chemicals. I had multiple lines, including a central venous line and arterial line. I am eternally grateful I did not require intubation and ventilation which I have a horror of having worked in the area for many years.
After a week of sleep deprivation therapy both in CCU and the surgical ward I was discharged home. This is where I thank the good Lord for WONDERFUL friends. I ended up convalescing at a friends house as I was weak as a kitten. I am now back in my little house taking one step at a time in getting stronger.
The diagnosis was a septicaemia and possible pericarditis and gallbladdery things, but everything was inflammed and misbehaving.
I have had mental health issues all my life and multiple times where I wanted to end it all. I have been most grateful that I survived all that, but this....this has been different. I was very grateful to receive extreme unction which is very consoling.
Every day is a miracle! Iam the most fortunate of people.
