Ha ha @Former-Member - you cracked me up with your comments to @outlander about finding you a male friend.
Know what you mean about crappy employers. When I resigned from my job of over 20 years at a government department, I got an unsigned stock standard letter from HR wishing me well. Told my workplace not to buy me a gift but to donate money to charity instead. (We had been contributing to a social club all along so basically you are buying your own gift anyway) Fortunately there was no fake farewell party as I was already on leave to take care of my parents who were seriously ill.

Yes I remember doing the rounds saying goodbyes at govt dept after 3 yrs. square peg. Didn't fit. 😺 Told boss who was main reason leaving I quit to his face. Wasn't the done thing with 'job for life'.. he just offered well hope ur not financially embarrassed .. haha nasty little Dalek he was lol @soul
