Have a good day today.
Hiya @soul, thanks, yes the new birds woke me early today, but its a nice wakeup call. Deliberately sought out quieter birds. 🐦Yes,ctheyre all destinctivwly different, accept the fawn finches, they seem identical. Not sure about naming them ❤
@Faith-and-Hope, thanks - i got nervous at the responsibility at first but think I'll be ok, really love birds - the cage was only $5 at op shop (had no base but I sorted that easy. Hope your getting you head space there, self care 🙂 ❤
Hiya @Ant7, you go easy today MR Earlybird 🐦❤
No @Appleblossom, but that's a good idea. At the moment I enjoy watching them instead of the TV. Hope your boy is ok? (Gently Gently with that one), my son is visiting this w'end so look fwd to that, gotta clean up a little though (sigh) ❤

Hey @Former-Member - just be careful if you have the birds outside. Predator birds such as the Butcher birds will have a go at them.

I let my budgie out to fly around the house during the day and a butcherbird frequently clings to the screen door looking in. Freaks the poor little fella out and he retreats to his cage.
My mother had a canary attacked by one when I was a kid. Poked him straight in the eye through the bars of the cage. Canary survived but was blinded @Former-Member.
Sometimes my budgie flies to the screen door and hangs out there. Hope his predator doesn't meet up with him at that time.
To her credit, the dog will sometimes race through the doggy flap outside and bark at it.
