SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

WINTER BLUES 😞

Does anyone else start getting really down in May? As long as I can remember - may is a difficult month for me, long before the Major Depression label. It spirals into slothful living and sleeping the winter away. Even though I love autumn weather, on the inside I just want to go to sleep and bide my time 'till spring comes - when I know i get a burst of energy back. Lots of people suffer SAD, and for some its serious. Its a well documented condition, and in my case compounds existing depression & anxiety, the tipping point. I noticed here on the forums last year that a lot of us struggled to get through winter, even here in mild Australian weather. What, if any are your winter blues symptoms in the winter?

I don’t sleep all that well @Former-Member but especially recently. My pooch is being returned to me today so that will be emotional.
Bad dreams can affect you in that way. Sounds like you aren’t sleeping much either.
What are you doing to take care of yourself?

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Perhaps you could send her a thank you card or even a small gift (gift card) now and then.
Sometimes when people are having issues of their own, they lash out in other areas @Former-Member.
We all like to feel appreciated. I understand that your priory lies with your Dad. I know from experience that the ones we love aren’t around forever. Hope you are enjoying spending time with him.

I'm not good at taking care of my health but i neef yo have 3 or 4 laydowns through the day for anxiety and my back. And helping dad is being true to myself. And i like feeling useful to someone ❤

Very sad about your dag. Im guessing youre receiving the ashes today? Its heart wrenching. I had to pick ip my mums ashes recently and my girls in 2011 oh, cant go tjere right now.

Sorry if I triggered you @Former-Member.

It usually does make one feel good to be helping another unless that person is a narcissistic.
Maybe your friend will feel differently next time you speak to her.

Re: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Sorry @Former-Member - I drifted off to sleep. Not messing with you at all. The point I was trying to make is that people are generally happy to help. It’s the nice part of human nature to do so and has benefits for the person helping as well as the person who is helped.

I was married to a narcissist for far too many years and he was completely all about himself. I can tell that you are a very kind and generous person who puts others first. Apologies if my meaning was misinterpreted.

Morning @Former-Member ...... 💙💐💕

So sorry to hear your friend has responded that way .....

Is the property still under the care of an agent ? Can you ask whether they can arrange someone to come and water for you periodically for a small fee ?

If so, maybe you can send another card to your friend apologising that you have been so busy with your Dad that you have left her feeling unappreciated for what she was doing, but you have now spoken to the agent about trying to find someone else .... but only do this if there actually is someone else available. Your friend might jump at the chance if she is feeling worn out too, so the option has to be a reality.

Hugs @Former-Member

❤️ @soul .....
