The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Hi @Crazy_Bug_Lady ! I hope you have something planned this weekend to unwind.

Rather than 'bring a plate' of delicious looking food, I thought I would bring a plate of this.....

This is from a 1950s cookbook, when for some reason, making everything into a jelly was cool..

mmm doesn't it make you thankful for whatever else you're really eating tonight?!

@Crazy_Bug_Lady my week was a bit all over the place, but this morning I went to the hairdresser. The best part for me isn't my lovely new hair cut, but the 10 min head massage I got when they were washing my hair. SO.GOOD.

Thanks @NikNik for the invite.
I am on my phone, so can't post a picture. Tonight my partner made me bean burritos. I am vegan.
My week was much better than the last two weeks. I stopped taking a medication that was making me extremely suicidal. Of course the depression is still there, but a new kitten helped. The new kitten - Katniss - is the highlight of the week.

When I get a haircut the best part for me is the head massage too - sometimes they give you a neck.massage too 🙂

I have read some of your story in your thread in lived experiences. The thread is so long I can't read it all & at the end you seem to be having a good conversation with a few people. What really struck me is you seem to be a very kind, caring person. If only you could be kind to yourself and see that the world needs more people like you ~ not less. I have had panic disorder with agoraphobia, but thankfully only for a year...
I don't really like weekends. Too complicated to explain why & I get the idea we are supposed to be light hearted here. I will try to get to parkrun tomorrow and the markets on Sunday. I will play with Katniss.
