The Weekly Friday Feast

NikNikSenior Contributor

The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Chat soon 🙂

Thanks, @Former-Member for being maitre d at possibly the best Friday Feast I've ever been to in two years of being on the forum. Your first day on the job was a roaring success.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

It's friday... I think? I could be confused lol!

I made kids favourite sausage casserole for dinner and we've even made a self saucing pudding which is currently in the oven (and i forgot to put timer on for GAH!) Movie on (Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2). its a quiet but peaceful atmosphere.

What is everyone else up to?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi @Former-Member and all who arrive after us,

So glad you kicked off the feast. Hoping it might be a distraction from my housing woes tonight. I'm bringing creamy main course and creamy dessert. Must be in a mood for comfort food tonight...

1. Vegan creamy avocado pasta

2. Vegan lemon custard pie

p.s. don't tell anyone I had chicken sandwich for dinner in the really real.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hello @Former-Member, great to see you 🙂 I'm having a virtual dinner tonight and I thought this Pizza looked just perfect for the job! Feel free to have a virtual slice and pass it around 😄

I just gotten wonderful news, my child got the dream job they wanted . . . and they haven't even finished the course that put them into the place for 'on job experience' (don't know what those hours are properly called)! But it's the most happy I can be, when I can hear in their voice how happy they are!

If we don't have a topic, I was wondering - Who loves David Attenborough?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hey @Former-Member Yes, I like David Attenborough. But, in another vein, I like Brian Cox even better!

@Former-Member, I love citrus desserts too.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

wow! That is great @Former-Member 🙂 Congratulations! Your big kid must have done very well to have landed a job pre grad!
David Attenborough has been amazing! I wonder if you've seen the clip on 'flying penguins'? lol i use it to teach kids they cant always believe what they 'see' on the internet and it sounds like his voice though im not sure it is! He does have the most distinctive voice though!
