The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Thank you Shaz51 for your kind remarks and yes, I had a good day. Keen card player of Canasta and our church group had a break-up party luncheon today. Very nice food and lots of laughter and chatter over our card game before the refreshments. Have a few more Xmas parties to attend so will have to watch my waist-line!. I was a Family day care provider for 25 years and I kept everything @Former-Member, @NikNik, @Former-Member xx

oh dear 😞 You might be surprised how few people actually believe her and those that do.. really dont matter.
Doesnt make it any easier though probably. I can relate to how you are feeling because when i left my ex.. there were all sorts of stories circulating.. some started by him im sure and i felt like i couldnt face the world. It did get better though and the more i went out the less people seemed to notice me again? not sure if that makes any sense...

The reason I asked whether you think people will listen to her or not, is because people have pretty good (what I call) bullshit meters and can pick up when people are gossips - so whatever they are gossiping about doesn't hold much meaning to them.

If she's saying nasty things about you, it's likely she is nasty about other people too. So I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't take too much notice.
