The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

I dont really ask myself that, because well except for lately I can be working over weekends, there are no weekends in no penalties land ..well to be totally honest, I don't really do anything, except walk when am being 'good' or work when am up to it and it's available anyway tmi lol @Shaz51

I feel "different"? Vulnerable? Scared? I've always strugggled to describe my feelings, or to be honest, actually let myself feel them. It's a big journey.

Hi @Shaz51. Jury service is interesting, but extremely exhausting. Our case will possibly continue into Tuesday late. It's exhausting because you have to listen carefully (take notes by all means). Some of the testimony is via video link-up, the sound can sometimes be distorted, making concentration harder. We do discuss it when we're in 'our' room, but we have to be careful the bailiff doesn't hear us. I will be pleased when it's over, I must admit.

I agree with you , I would be the same , glad when it is all over

it is like when i did childcare and you had to go to monthly meetings ( a weekend ) , boy that was so much that my head would hurt from the information

Had an up/down week emotionally but celebrated an anniversary with a gift of a facial massage which helped elevate my down mood. Being either looked after or helping others can assist in enjoying time with others. With Friday Night feast coming up tonight this is a time to enjoy ourselves with others. Mine will be fried brown rice with flaked tuna,sauteed onion,pieces of lebanese cucumber and some chopped parsley all mixed together. Savoury,not too expensive and tasty. Have a good night and the same for the coming weekend. Cheers from Bimby2.

Thanks heaps for thinking of me @NikNik - that looks delish - my partner makes a tofu, mushroom & kale or spinach lasagna, but he hasn't for awhile... Maybe I'll have to give him some hints! I think we even have wholemeal lasagna sheets in the cupboard. I'm going to have left over spaghetti bolognese for dinner - in fact I'll heat it up now - I'm so hungry!

As for what I'm doing tonight... Just trying to get through... Struggling & the main thing keeping me "sane-ish" is yoga, so already looking forward to yoga tomorrow (although part of me would love to sleep all day....)

Tonight hubby and I went to a food truck venue and we had lamb souvalaki. It was so nice and fresh. Yum😊

hi @NikNik, @Former-Member. Both lasagnes sound good😊 Lasagne is a good pick me up anytime and my boys favourite food.

not sure what I'm eating yet. I'm trying to muster the energy to make a zucchini slice which I haven't made for ages and I have a new oven
