The Weekly Friday Feast

The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Chat soon 🙂

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Thanks @utopia. It's not really him but more me. I've not been sleeping this week, forgot medication today, have PMS, still trying to deal with the fall out of storm. Talked to ex and found out damage to our property. Huge poplar tree fell and nearly took out house which was saved by the beautiful golden elm that is now shredded and was sacrificed. Much of property still underwater but ok. S4 is all about him but no more than usual. Just found out dad has implications from his stroke so I guess maybe it's just been a build up day. Didn't realise until I just wrote some of it down. Oh and Internet out until Monday.😬
@Faith-and-Hope. Really hoping D3 can clear the last hurdle. Thinking of you
Hi @Former-Member too. Thanks for the shout out. I hope your day is getting better.

@Kurra. yes Its hard to find in the chemists. If ever I do see it - I'll buy a few.
@Former-Member. Sounds like everything is piling on top of everything for you. Time for self love and diversions maybe?
A teenager being self absorbed - never heard of such a thing - lol. My son is still amazed when I catch him out on something. I tell him - I was a teenager too & your not trying anything new. Been there. But he still tries. Part of growing up I guess

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

G'day @Former-Member. Used to love long weekends. Doesn't mean as much when I'm not working.
Won't be watching the Grand Final tomorrow. Going to bbq and drinks party instead.
What are your plans for the weekend.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Yeah @Former-Member ... that sort of build-up would have me feeling rattled. 💜🌷

Do you do something to burn the physical tension ? You might find it help settle the heebie-jeebies .... that Fisiocrem I just mentioned to @TAB does wonders for me cos it's got a heat factor, and that sort of spicy aroma that makes your eyes tingle .....

Like the Magnaplasm or bicarb draws out rose prickles, this stuff seems to draw out the physical tension that is building into an emotional reaction .....

Vicks on the feet works wonders for a cold .... think I'm gonna try Fisiocrem on the soles of my feet .... hmmm ....

A hot shower, perfume, heat pack maybe ..... it seems to be a physical plus sensual build-up of energy .... and a physical plus sensual de-stress seems to be the answer ..... guess that's why foot massages work so well too ....

Can you try a self-neck-massage with something that's got a bit of heat and see if it helps you get to sleep sooner ? Could mix a muscle rub with moisturiser to tone down the heat a bit ....

Or just a good old-fashioned heat pack ....

Rambling a bit here ,.. but you've made me think ....

💜💐💕

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@Faith-and-Hope. I used to put vics vapour rub on the souls of feet - when I worked in a nursing home. They recovered from the cold a lot quicker with it. I do it to myself. My son won't even consider it.
