The Weekly Friday Feast

The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Chat soon 🙂

Nom nom nom...

I'm making chilli con carne, without pre-made spice mixes... diving deep into the spice cupboard, and making it with the 3 secret (sssshhhhhhh) C ingredients... cinnamon, chilli and chocolate...

Wooooooop!!!

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

🙂 you always need to see the positives right?

I am really struggling, not sleeping much and really anxious, i can't seem to shake this panic attack, it has been with me for almost 10 hours now, they are getting so bad now, i am having several a day.

I have been laying in bed a lot, i have not much motivation, and i am really low.

Sorry for the down turn in conversation, i will try to be more happy.

Hi @Silenus, love the pic, i am a big fan of anonymous 🙂

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

sounds delicious @Silenus! I love all those three 'C' - are you putting all of them in your chilli con carne? Even the chocolate?

Hi @Former-Member, feels like I've not see you in a while! It's tough feeling alone. Is part of moving to a new area? I imagine it'd be difficult finding time to get out and do things while looking after your little ones.

@Jacques, no good about the panic attack. I hope that we can distract you tonight. Want a plate of curry and naan?

@Crazy_Bug_Lady glad you could make it tonight. Hope your phone isn't too fiddly to use. How's things been?

Hi @Former-Member

This thread's home is in 'Enjoying time with others', sometimes it can get lost during the week under lots of other posts, but once someone starts posting on a friday it goes back to the top...

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Yay @Former-Member, glad you could make it.

Thanks for the good instructions @Former-Member.

What's everyone's favourite Indian dish?

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi @CherryBomb, @Former-Member, @Former-Member, @Crazy_Bug_Lady, @Jacques (did I miss anyone?)

I've had a pretty lousy week - 3 x big crying sessions, including today - which was the longest & most intense - I hid my crying from my partner the other 2 times, but today he heard me even though he was fencing down the paddock... I guess I didn't realise my crying would travel so far - I was so distressed... I don't really feel like talking/writing much, but I guess I'm hee because you are the only people I "know" who seem to know what it really is like - to endure mental ill health endlessly...

Anyhow, I like curry - but prefer Thai over Indian.

We are having burritos AGAIN - lucky they are my favorite meal! I haven't eaten anything but a fruit bar & a soy yoghurt today - I've just been so low...

Namaste,

A
