The Weekly Friday Feast

The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Chat soon 🙂

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I'm sorry to hear that @BlueBay Do you have some friends or other face to face supports over the weekend. Holidays like Easter can be so tough when you are estranged from family.

Yes holidays are tough on your own, it's just me and kidlets and it's hard to b enough for them by myself.
I'm anxious and stressed but I've just got to get thru I guess.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Happy to hear you haven't SH'ed @Angels333 - why can't you tell your husband?

@BlueBay - sorry to hear.... can you do some nice things on your own or any friends? - exercise, read, watch movies? I usually have that problem around xmas... I don't really associate Easter with much these days....

Namaste,

A

Sorry to hear you are doing it tough @Former-Member....

Less people seem to be on fb tonight that's why I was wondering what "normal people" do...

I'm sorry if I'm saying the wrong things tonight - anxiety, anxiety, anxiety!

Namaste,

A

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

hi @Former-Member, i think people do what they want, not many people are into the "religious" part of it any more, for many people it is just a break, time to relax.

try not to be too hard on yourself @Former-Member, we all have different meanings for hollidays. 3000 years ago this was a holliday for the spring solstice, it was a pagen celebration, it changes from century to century.

hope you can fond a way to calm your anxiety.

Namaste

Hi @Jacques , @Former-Member

yes, people do what they want and over the centuries the meaning of Easter has been added to and change over time to what it is today

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Yes @Former-Member 2 days is in fact a massive achievement. I have even had fleeting thoughts that I can make it for the whole week. I've been with my husband for 18 years, but I am terrified that he won't support me. I think I am so ashamed.
