The Weekly Friday Feast

I love the idea of Family Feasts. Traditions can fade over time as families change, and move away. I think it can come in cycles, depending on where people are at.

Growing up with a single parent in my later teens, our Xmas's were small and low key. These days, since my sibling's have kids, we've taken to an annual family get together at my brother's house.Though this year, I sadly didn't go as I've moved interstate.

What did you get up to today?

Well, no cyclone yet,

raining --Yes,

Kids swam in the pool in the rain all day and eating watermelon

Adults drank and ate too much

Stepdaughter and partner came over for breakfast and we had pancakes

my husband was tired throughout the day, I think he will sleep for a long time and tomorrow too

@Shaz51 Sounds like a very Australian Christmas.

Glad to hear that there's no cyclone. What's the forecast like? Are they (the weather people) expecting it to get close?

could form into a cyclone tomorrow , it is a waiting game now

Tomorrow I think my husband will be sleeping all day after today

I hope it's not a big one, and I hope that it's just some pitter, pattering on the room to help your husband snooze throughout the day. Do you get many cyclones where you live?

Not corney at all, @Crazy_Bug_Lady! Hasn't been lovely?! I love thinking of us all at home, cosy, doing our things, but together. I imagine some of sitting on the couch, or bed, sipping tea, or drinking water, typing away, and reading the screen, smiling. These are lovely moments shared.

And a Friday Feast next week is a must! It would be cool to do the count down on here.
