Looking for your feedback on: Psychosis Guide & Factsheet

Looking for your feedback on: Psychosis Guide & Factsheet

Hi everyone,

Here at SANE we think it's critical to have our content reviewed by carers and people with lived experience.

We are looking for feedback on our current factsheet and guide on Psychosis

You will be able to flip between the Factsheet & Guide under the heading 'Psychosis'

It doesn't matter what level of experience or understanding you have on this topic. If you have experience, you can give us feedback on how close it aligns to your understanding and knowledge. If you don't have experience, you can let us know if there's information missing that you want to know more about and if the content is easy to understand. The main feedback we're looking for is:

  1. Is the information easy to understand?
  2. Is there any language that is jarring or confusing?
  3. Is there anything missing that you’d like to know more about?
  4. Any other thoughts?

We are looking to have all the feedback collated by Friday 26 May. If you have any questions in the meantime, please @mention me (ie: @NikNik) and I will jump in and answer anything I can!

Thanks,

Nik

Re: Looking for your feedback on: Psychosis Guide & Factsheet

Hello Nik,

1. I think the information was easy enough to understand (but very similar to the schizophrenic one)

2. There wasn't any language that was jarring or confusing, and having the 1 in 200 in bold made it easier to read.

3. I don't know enough to know if anything's missing, but would like to know if Psychosis is pretty much the same no matter what ailment you have?

4. I think if these times are pretty much under control and aren't harming anyone, there is no need to see a Doctor.

Re: Looking for your feedback on: Psychosis Guide & Factsheet

Hi Nik

I would suggest that there is a good deal of resources there in the fact sheet for carers though not the for the individual with psychosis. It would be useful for someone who is or has experienced psychosis to be able to read this and see what help is available - apart from just the GP and sane forums. Perhaps a model of care section or similar? Like MH support team, psychiatrist, psychologist, advocate, GP, day programs, sane forum etc etc. I hope this is useful.
