14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hello my angel,

Well i smell like 2 week old dead fish, that damn seasol, oh my god does it smell!!!!!

yes i have planted another shrub this morning, i am in the garden again, seems like i spend all my time their now.

yes mum is really proud of me, she has gone from a house we live in to being a fully fledged home. mum loves comming home to the beautiful smell and sight of a nice home, instead of a mouldy house.

thank you my angel that really means a lot, i am so proud of you too, you have achieved so much this week and you are still fighting.

I hope you and the girls have a nice day, the sun is shining here, i hope it is the same where you are. some fresh air is really good, i have been stuck in the house so long it still suprises me how nice fresh air really is, except for the sneezing, i have hayfeaver really bad this year.

Take care my angel, make sure you do something special with the girls today to treat them and yourself for a productive week.

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi @Appleblossom,

Thank you, i am desperate to get most of the outside stuff done before summer, we get 40+ degree temps here and i burn easy because i am always in the house, in that sort of heat i usually do not leave the house anyway so i am trying to get the plants planted and fed and pavers, concreting, etc done before then.

i can then focus on renovating the kitchen.

Please @Appleblossom it is so nice to talk to others and have others supporting @hiddenite too, the more i speak to people the more it helps my socialising, as i don't talk to anyone in the real world. this forum is all i have to speak to people. and my mum of course.

hope your sunday is going well and you and your son are getting some music practice in.

Take care

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi Jacques

Thank goodness I'm back in the car.

I went to the girls assembly and they both got awards for their writing, in front of the whole school. They were so happy.

I was just trying not to trigger and have a panic attack. Unfortunately I wasn't successful.

Did you walk today.

The battle here is so highly perfumed my eyes are burning and then the sneezing....

Maybe spring isn't so far away.

Oh ,no teddy bears were harmed last night they are all safe 🙂

Take care j
