14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

no problem my angel,

Remember forget the small things in life, look at the big picture, it will not matter if you forget something, you will be able to ask a nurse to get it for you. i am sure they will be happy to help.

One of my relatives died today, the lady whos house we stayed at at christmas last year, i only ever met her once, she was my uncles mother in law, she was a nice lady the one time i met her. I feel so bad because she got sick not long after we left, she allowed us to stay at her house while she was at her daughters house.

I'm sorry Jacques it's never nice when someone passes. Will you have to go to the funeral

Re: 14th year house bound

no, i think the funeral is going to be immediate family only, but i would not have the money to go anyway, it is 7 hours away, too far for me to go anyway.

Dearest @hiddenite

Thinking about you
I really like what @Jacques says ..... He's so gentle ..... And calm when he writes to see this as a new start. In that he knows how this is so difficult for you but to try and ask questions

Love Anne

Jacques

I am at home when I am not at work or doing shopping.

Back in 2010 I was driving home from work and I ahd a panic attack and I had to pull over.

I have not driven anywhere by myself since then.

I have never had any 'friends' - except for a short time when I was younger and a few years ago but he went overseas. I don't socialise at all at the moment.

I have to face public for living - which is a bit strange for someone like me but life is strange.

I'm struggling - I know I need to get better but I can't take the first step.

I work normal business hours but I wake up early

around 7am Monday to Friday.

I don't sleep well..

I have someone in my family who is an alcoholic but refuses to get help..

he was here after midnight on Wednesday I couldn't sleep because he was here arguing with Mum

i'm tired of his behaviour but I can't do anything about it

he has been like this since he was younger..he always mix with wrong people and cause problems

he has relationship problem with girlfriend..but she is very tolerant and I feel sorry for her

it doesn't happen every week but it keeps happening ..I can remember the last time it happened

I have agoraphobia and I don't have any 'friends'

feeling discouraged as I haven't been to see my psych for a long time

I tried to call yesterday but no one answered
