14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

I know that's how you feel j and it scares me. We've finally found each other again. There must be a reason for that.

I'm sorry Jacques I didn't know your roof leaked.

Will you be able to fix it one day?

I never want to loose you Jacques.

I see the wonderful person you are.

I know Karen, it scares me too, i never thought i would ever meet a person like you, someone who understand so completely, sometimes it takes my breath away how much we are the same.

I believe in fate too Karen, it is still a mystery to me why i get on with you so well, i could never talk to another person like i do to you, let alone a woman. i feel so nervious around everyone, things i have told you i have never spoken to anyone, you know more about me than anyone i have ever known, that includes my parents.

I don't know Karen, the roof will cost $10,000 or more, too much for me to afford.

Karen i never want to lose you either, i could not cope if something happened to you, i nearly was not here after you left the other forum, i was so close to ending it.

Re: 14th year house bound

I was so concerned for you safety after what had happened and I had promised you that I would be by your side and never leave. I was devastated ending up making an attempt and in the mhu.

I would never forgive myself if anything ever happened to you because of something I said.

Wow that is expensive, no wonder you haven't been able to have it fixed.

Get some rest Jacques

Goodnight

Karen you could never say anyhing to make me hurt myself, just the opposite, you save me each time you write to me, your words sooth me Karen, i am so glad you wanted to be my friend. i am the luckiest person alive.

I am so devistated you ended up in the MHU and tryed to take your own life because of me, i wish that never happened and that we never got seperated, it was so traumatic for the both of us.

Sleep well my angel, enjoy the rain, the smell and the soothing nature of rain.

We will talk some more tomorrow, i can't wait.

Dearest @Jacques

I just read your message. thanx.... i have tears in my eyes.

At the end of the day @Jacques it's not these 'issues,' im suffering my own problems like panic attacks and my day to day wellbeing. Ive just only got myself to take care of.......

Arlo sends you a big cuddle.

I read this great thread by @CannonSalt called managing clutter.....then a responce @CannonSalt gave @Aenaran re; causes of spending times with mental ill health....................

And all these memories hit me...like......@Cannonsalt got it right.....it's all this .....refusing to acknowledge your individuality by your nearest and dearest......could this tuly be whats it about for some?
