My Hospital Stay

Thanks @Owlunar I have been struggling for some time - had a lot of support 'behind the scenes' rather than soleley on the forum - bit hard to go into things too much on here.

There is a lot I don't say too - I have learned that if a person says one sentence there a hundreds more - we don't need to know everyting

But I am glad you have had behind the scenes help as well - that is really good

There are times when I have no idea what to say - I am learning that I don't have to say much - other people with more experience with MI often step in - and then

When I first joined well over a year ago now someone one was in a bad place and I sent a message of concern to the mods and I learned then that they understood what that person said and they can talk to people who need it

So I have been very glad to know that

@Owlunar I can't actually 'talk' - can't get words out verbally - so have spent some time on helpline chat. It has been invaluable some days when I have been really struggling. I also 'catch-up' regularly with one mod which is great because they know exactly where I'm 'at', my history etc. It makes a big difference when you don't have to explain too much or give too many details as they already know those things.

Have done the email back and forth thing a bit too. All of it does make a difference - even a small difference helps.

I am far more stable at this stage of my life - and all the hype and drama seems a long time ago - but I have had my dark times - and I do understand - every little bit helps

Having people who just understand is fantastic - I find this in the Forum Family

It is very special here and very well moderated - I have been in a lot of group and website since I got onto the internet - such a long time ago now - and there has never been a place where everyone was so safe

I am going to bed now - I feel fresh and showered and let's hope I managed to sleep now

The mods certainly do alot behind the scenes to make it as safe as possible - I have experienced this first hand a few times - and they keep you updated with how things are going too - which is very unique to this forum - an amzing place to belong.
