Yes it does seem like we have quite a bit in common @outlander. That is such a pity how your mother treats you. There are people out there in today's society that are nice because they want something or can see it as a "cash in" in future. It is really sad to be honest but there are those rare few that aren't that way. I do hope one day in person, you will find someone who will be there for you and care for you, love you for not only your positive traits but your imperfections too. It is better to have the ONE friend who you know be there for you than many friends who aren't really there for you...if that makes sense.
For now, remember though it may seem lonely, you are definitely not. You have me, and the other lovely people on this forum. Yes it is tougher because of the lack of physicality but mentally and emotionally we are here for you. I find that a bit better and comforting at times. I'll let you in on a little secret (might be a tad creepy)....I sometimes close my eyes, pretend you are with me, imagine how you all sound as you "talk" and when you guys give me a hug, I imagine that, sometimes I even hug my pillow or my teddy that lies next to me.
OUCH! That sounds so painful but am so glad you are OK and here to keep me company today.
On a separate note - am pondering whether to see Shawn Mendes in concert here at end of year. His songs speak to me - they are quite sad given his latest album is mainly break up songs. And he has these bittersweet songs.
