Morning @Zoe, I have been away a fair while. I'm juggling my own difficulty in relationship at moment also. It's hoping today he will see more reason. Raining again this morning. All my boys asleep but I'm up fir the days dog. Quiet coffee before school run! How are you?

@Zoe7 .....

Hi @Former-Member. Hope it is a better day for you today as you hope ..... 🤗💕

Packing up interstate here today to head home. One last walk by a different river this morning, if I'm quick enough .....

Morning @Faith-and-Hope, a river walk sounds perfect. 🙂 And thank you.
I hope a sober mood for him will do just that. My gut feeling says otherwise at the moment.
I went to bed last night feeling slightly dizzy. I'm at a loss how to fix really but I never stop trying.

Ok I will @Faith-and-Hope. Thank you. 🌹❤️
I appreciate your thoughts when challenges prevail. Sometimes speaking out isn't heard properly by my partner.😔

Two words of advice @Former-Member .... remain polite, and keep repeating the message .... same as when you're dealing with children .... not that men are children, but for reasons of testosterone, they process differently ..... repeat messages tend to get through, even if you have to remain icily polite when delivering them.

A third observation, if you like .... tears tend to produce an aggressively defensive response on males in long-term relationships, so try to keep them out of your discussions if at all possible, but tears are also important, to make sure you have a good cry on a long walk afterwards, or drive, or on the phone with a special friend ....

Hugs for how you are feeling Hon .... ❤️

Re: Husband controlling everything. What should I do

Hi #fadin thanks for the message. It's not just being Isolated I felt like I don't have a right in my own house, because everything is under your husband decision . Sometimes I ask my self is this a right way as a marriage wife? From the beginning of our marriage he treated me like this. So I thought it's gonna be change if we leave longer because it's probably we were setting down as a newly married. But it wasn't like that.

Do since I joined to him here in Australia I thought as his wife I have a right to do anything in your own house but it's not like that.

I always convense my self is this because this is his house and I don't have a right to change anything or to do anything . I don't know what is the right of marriage woman here in Oz.

Re: Husband controlling everything. What should I do

The right of a married woman here in Oz @Woman30 is that the house is yours too. Married means shared property and possessions.

There will be something in the way he was brought up that has given him the thinking that you have to own and control people around you to get things done the way you want. Changing this sort of thinking takes a long time and a lot of patience. You can use your teaching of your son to get the message across to your husband at the same time. You can tell him -

"Ask nicely .... people will listen and usually do what you ask when you ask nicely ...."
