Evie....goodonya for talking about this.

I had many attempts to exit my life and I am very thankful I was so bad at it. I was very peeved at the time of course. But.......it is possible to survive and find a better life beyond what is your world at the moment.

I did. I hope you do and survive, because that way you ARE a winner !

Re: Everyday is a battle to live

I've had chronic depression, anxiety and suicidle thoughts all my adult life for as long as I can remember, especially since I injured my back in the Army and discharged medically unfit, then denied compensation.

The year has had highs and lows, but today after dealing with the clink (centrelink) regarding my wife, being treated like a second class citizen, pointing fingers at us, illegally changing her name, being arrogant, condescending, rude and disrespectful I would have better the shit out of them and done myself in. I've had enough I can't take anymore shit. Beyond Blue and Lifeline are about as useful as a left handed screwdriver.

Hi @Keith1966,

That sounds like a horrible incident at Centrelink. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Could you lodge a complaint?

I get really worried when I hear phrases like, 'I can't take this anymore'. Are you ok?

I will drop you an email to check in.

I know exactly how you feel keith1966, Centrelink aren't the most happiest bunch of people to deal with! I am constantly having issues with them. I feel for you I would escalate the matter with their complaints department and see how you go there.
