How to get off this feeling?

How to get off this feeling?

Hey guys, I'm new here and to be honest...this is the first time i write about the stuff what's going on in my head. It's hard for me to talk about it because many people would think that all my problems are nothing compared to others problems but i would never write something like this if it wouldn't bother me. It kills me inside... this feeling... i can't even describe it but i know that sometimes i feel this emptiness inside of me... this loneliness... I don't see any light in my future anymore and since my feelings got worse in the last few weeks i thought about talking to someone would help me... maybe. I'm feeling so bad about everything that sometimes i feel like i could sleep the whole day long and do nothing. Sometimes it's so hard for me to get out of my bed... i feel so weak and i don't know what i'm supposed to do...

Welcome to the forums @BrokenAngel.

It has taken you a lot of courage to reach out to us here. Please make an appointment to see your GP because help is available but you do need to let your doctor know exactly how you're feeling.

Just phone for an appointment his morning and recognise that you are helping yourself by going to the doctor.

Take care. Hugzzz 💕 🎶

Re: How to get off this feeling?

Hey Love,

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Well to be honest i was never at the doctors because of that and i barely talk to anyone about this. Only my best friends knows it and she told me a few times i should go to see the doctor and think about a therapy but to be honest i'm not ready for this step. I'm afraid and ashamed and i can't imagine how the doctor could help me with all the stuff what's going on. But i will think about it.

Thanks for cheering me up with those cyber hugs!

Much love and hugs back

Hello @BrokenAngel

A very warm welcome to the forums from myself, it's nice to meet you 🙂

That sounds like a really difficult feeling of shame in talking about what is going on for you, I can't imagine how hard that would be for you right now.

I think it is so courageous you have come onto the forums to start to find a way of talking about your feelings in a way that works for you, maybe one day you will be ready to talk to a GP or Psychologist, but just take small steps for now to make the process easier.

It also positive that you talk to your friend, that would have been hard opening up to them. We are here for you, look forward to getting to know you a bit better,

Lunar ❤️

Hey Lunar ❤️

Thank you so much for this kind words of understanding. To be honest it's kind of a good feeling to write anything about my problems also if i've not oppend up anything about them. But it's so good to have someone... to come to talk to everytime i need someone to talk to. I don't know if this all will help me but i decided to give it a try. Thank you for your understanding really. I know i said this before but thank you so much really.

I hope we'll get to know each other better in the next time.

Hi @BrokenAngel

Welcome to the forums, I really like your username 🙂

I'm sorry that you're feeling so awful today, sounds a bit like how i feel when i am really low/depressed. Im glad you've reached out here for support and were able to tell us, especially as you ahvent been able to in real life. i dont know if anyone above ( @Kurra or @Former-Member) suggested get any support from a GP? I know what its like to have people notice that you're struggling but not be able to tell them... I'm great at the 'im fine!' lines!

Hope that being on the forums is helpful to you,

take care,

Hey! Thank you so much for this kind words and i'm so glad that you like my username.

Well i already got the suggestion of visiting a GP but.. i'm not ready for this step... i'm not brave enough for this step, you know? I hope that this forum could help me to feel better. I can't even remember anymore when i was truly happy. I feel so useless like nobody needs me in this world... I can't even do all the things i loved before because my mood is so down and i always feel so damn tired but i can't sleep very well at nights...

Do you feel good now?

Re: How to get off this feeling?

Hi @BrokenAngel

oh... do i feel good now? gosh , i have to stop and think now. lol. My life is very complicated at the moment and have a lot going on which is causing me great stress. But I think acutally.. that i'm coping better with it all than i wouldhave 1 year ago or 2 years ago! I've worked with a psychologist to learn better ways of coping and looking after myself. I still struggle with sleeping because of nightmares and just having trouble falling asleep!

I used to be all the time in that dark place where there was no light and no way to ever be happy but it did pass. I did have help from a GP to start with and then later my psychologist and a psychiatrist. I used to be terrified of asking for help from GP too.. but it wasn't nearly as scary as i thought to tell the gp how i was feeling and they were so supportive (way back!!).

I think GP's are so used to people coming in to talk about mental health and how they are that they just take it in their stride these days. But can definitely understand your fears too.

Hope that things do improve a bit for you soon!

Re: How to get off this feeling?

Well i'm so glad that you are feeling better now. Seems like you went through a lot of trouble when you have nightmares because of it... but i'm so happy for you that you got over it.

Hmm maybe it could help me i don't know but i even don't have the money for getting in touch with a psychiatrist that's another reason why i've never done this... i can't be brave enough to talk to the gp.

Take care !
