Craft Corner

Craft Corner

A place to chat and share all things crafty!

What's your favourite craft? Is there anything you're working on at the moment? What would you like to create/work on (I have heaps of "one day" project patterns and ideas that I know I will probably never get around to, but it's nice to imagine)? I'd love to hear!

I have absolutely no artistic side to me and stick figures are the extent of my drawing ability, but I really enjoy learning and trying out new crafts. I learnt crochet during a stay in a prevention and recovery centre and it's something I pick up often when I am feeling blue, I need a distraction or I'm just a little bored. I've tried paper crafts too, although I didn't really get far with anything. Sharpies are some of my best friends and when I find my hands need to move I have a collection of smooth rocks that I draw on (different coloured circles) which often relaxes me. Sometimes I dust off the sewing machine and sew as well. I walk around spotlight for a fun outing 😉

Looking forward to hearing from you all 🙂

It was to teach the kids about different parts of the body @outlander . Like the brain, lungs, digestive system etc.

Our next puzzle together is a tiger one.

Re: Craft Corner

The body puzzle was finished yesterday and we pulled it apart today already 🙂 @outlander Things don't last when you have 3 little kids trying to destroy things as soon as they are made lol.

Because of the school holidays, you should see how many forts are in the house. I can barely see the floor of their rumpus room!

Re: Craft Corner

I didn’t want to come say hello then depress you with my silly life. I guess in away it could be seen as a win, but it a long story of family trauma that just a few months ago came to a head when I went completely no contact with my mother, so Christmas Day was spent on my own trying not to feel guilt, hurt or sad about my decision.

Re: Craft Corner

Hugs @Rubyrose1 ,

At least you have us 🙂

My family are interstate. I haven't heard or spoken to them in over a year. I think we only speak once a year.

I used to hate Christmas and NY. I spend most of them in hospital.

Nowadays, I plan things for myself. Things that will be helpful for my recovery.
