Craft Corner

A place to chat and share all things crafty!

What's your favourite craft? Is there anything you're working on at the moment? What would you like to create/work on (I have heaps of "one day" project patterns and ideas that I know I will probably never get around to, but it's nice to imagine)? I'd love to hear!

I have absolutely no artistic side to me and stick figures are the extent of my drawing ability, but I really enjoy learning and trying out new crafts. I learnt crochet during a stay in a prevention and recovery centre and it's something I pick up often when I am feeling blue, I need a distraction or I'm just a little bored. I've tried paper crafts too, although I didn't really get far with anything. Sharpies are some of my best friends and when I find my hands need to move I have a collection of smooth rocks that I draw on (different coloured circles) which often relaxes me. Sometimes I dust off the sewing machine and sew as well. I walk around spotlight for a fun outing 😉

Oh wow @Maggie That is awesome. Which part you say? Your dot mandalas and the video with the glass staining 😄. Loved them.


I have started slowly doing dot mandalas. I've become obsessed with finding designs I love and hope to create one day. It's going ok but I'm still learning (struggling) with walking the dots. I've watched lots of videos but need lots of practice me thinks.

My money finally came through and I splurged $100 on paints and supplies. That was my present to myself. It feels kind of good.

Did you look up Kristin Uhrig? She does tutorials, shares about paint etc.

Oh yum @Teej $100 worth of paint and supplies. I am envious.

I find walking the dots really hard too. Slowly works for me.

have you considered making them and selling them? they would be something id love to buy if I found someone in my area that made them!



@CheerBear I branched out abit with my crochet. I made an order for a customer for 15 wine glass holders! I thought they were going to be hard but my gosh they were heck easy and only took me like 5 min each to make once I got the hang of it !
