Something’s not right

Lights

Lights

Hello my dears, I'm afraid to turn on the lights right now for fear that my neighbours will know I'm home. Any suggestions?

My paranoia is prompted by my guilt for asking a neighbour to take in my empty rubbish bins because I had plans but my outing was cancelled due to poor weather so I'm home early.

Re: Lights

Hi @Glorianna do you get along with your neighbours? It sounds like you have a good relationship with them, if you have asked simple favours from them. In saying that, I'm sure they won't think ill of you if you are home early. I say turn on the lights and let them know you are home. It was just a favour you asked, nothing too much of an inconvenience. 🙂

@Queenie Okay, thank you. This is a great sounding board to stop dwelling on thoughts that are not useful. Yes, my neighbours are lovely, I just have a tendency to overthink. *turns on light*

Re: Lights

Hi @Glorianna,

i get caught up with things like this as well. My brain turns things into some thing so big. I've been caught in a neighbour spiral of guilt lately I must rectify too. I'm glad you turned the lights on.

Best wishes. 💜🤗

Hi @Former-Member,

My what a lovely heart that is! I project my experiences so much onto others. It's a habit I'm desperately trying to stop. It's no help that I have trouble communicating vocally and have what I've been called a dumb, expressionless face. What can I say, I'd happily wear a mask if only I knew what fashion it should hold.
