Welcome to Turtle Island!

What began as a discussion about personality types based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, quickly found a few of us marooned on an Island in the shape of a turtle (see below), in the South Pacific. We are currently having all kinds of adventures using our MBTI types to work out what might happen. If you're looking for some light-hearted fun, everyone is welcome to come along to stay or just visit. (You can get an idea of your MBTI here if you're interested.) Recently we found a (non-existent) suggestion box on the Island, we think it's come from an elusive island neighbour, so you're welcome to just fly (or swim) past and drop us some suggestions too.

Personality and what makes us us is something I find really interesting and I think there would be a few of us out there who share that interest.

@Spookytookims and I were having a chat about MBTI and the differences in our 'types'. I've found myself pondering what factors in our personalities might influence our interactions and the way a deeper understanding of people may improve communication. I like thinking about what makes two or more people 'click' or not.

While it's difficult to imagine the world being split into a small number of personality 'types', I am interested in what different personality tests offer us in terms of gaining insight or understanding.

Maybe an interesting discussion if anyone wants to join 🙂

@Former-Member I was going to wait for feedback from you three, see if anyone wanted to write the next episode or hear what others had to say about what I'd written before thinking about the next part.

I know @CheerBear is having a stressful day today so she probably won't be reading it for a while, and @Phoenix_Rising is setting herself that curfew time, so was just going to wait a bit and see what they say and think also.

But if you want me to, I could start expanding on it soon and do you a continuation if you like. 🙂

@CheerBeargood you are semi back... be kind to yourself though don't push anywhere you don't want to go while you are still a bit iffy. 🙂

I looked at that little cartoon... it's super sweet.. I love it. I want to invesigate the mists and find the hidden magical kingdom and then find out how it exists and why we managed to find it when nobody else could. Lucky you brought the books me might need them.. but again.. you didn't bring the food! 😛 (Thought that was too funny! Had to look up MREs too.)

Did you look at his? other stuff... the survival apocalyptic stuff was really funny... and scary as :pile_of_poo: to be with some of those types. Did you see @TheVorticon (ISTP) is the vigilante? Think that goes well with his avatar don't you? hahahaha another little giggle on that one! The vorticon.... see not derailing.. definitely adding to our experiences 🙂 Thank you.

Back to Earth gently, all is quiet in the house, tea in hand (i pulled out the very special pretty tea pot!) and about to have a read. I've pinned that page on my infp things board to have a look through later Spooky. I had to look up MREs too haha. Did love it though! Are you a cat person btw?

So where are we all heading?

I think I'm off to make a gather space outside our comfy cave and encourage everyone to sit together for a group 'check in' to see how everyone is travelling. I think I'd try and smooth over any tension that may be bubbling away with the rules vs no-rules potential issue and thank you all for thinking of the kind of really important things. I think I'd then sit with lil-caterpillar for a while to reassure her that all will be ok with everyone and then go for a wander off on my own to find a quiet tree to sit by. (Sorry Spooky - I may have just added in things there!)

Great stuff - thanks heaps for writing and sharing. I love our adventure 💛
