Re: Complex PTSD - Depression - Anxiety - ADD - Fibro Myalgia/Chronic Fatigue - How do you "get over it"?
Putting up boundaries is always hard in the beginning ,especially when you're living with them. It sounds like things might get easier for you when your mum, her boyfriend and your sisters move out.
If there's something you feel very strongly about that you don't want to do for them anymore, that could be a good place to start saying no.
That's how I started.
I still remember the first time I saud no to something huge. But I knew I couldn't do it anymore.
It ended up in a huge argument ,but I gave my parents warning and said this is the last time I'm doing this, please don't ask again.
But do what feels right outlander. Hopefully you'll know when it's right for you to start saying no.
I don't think your family will be happy about it, so you need to be prepared for that.
It took a long time for big changes to happen with me. Now I stay away from my family altogether. There's alot more involved, it's a very long story.
My traumas were practically ignored which still hurts, so I'll keep away from them.
Is it soon that your mum etc are moving?
At least you won't have to cook and clean for them anymore.
It's so slow to type on my phone.
I've been home all day.
Feeling the same.
I hope you had some good in your day.
