Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

That's awesome news @outlander, I am happy to hear this! Despite everything that is happening for you, it's good to know there are still some positives happening in your life.

I forget what my final percentage was for my Foundations of Psychology course was (it was in the late 80% - I'll log in and found in a sec if you like). I was awarded the certificate but didn't end up doing any other courses. I'm saving myself for study next year in the Diploma of Community Services.

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

Thanks @Queenie
Something has to go right for me. Too tired to care about the results atm anyway. They dont mean much to me seems tiny in comparison to what ive been dealing with and yet again today done something i never thought id do.

Sure id love to hear about your results too. Did you enjoy the psych course? And of course save it for the courses thats really count. I bet you'll be a great social worker

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

Yeah @outlander - got to find that balance. Studying could be a distraction for you but I know you have done a few courses so a break might be good too whilst you get other aspects of your life sorted.

I was thinking about you when I was walking to my yoga class this afternoon and reckon that you’d make a great au pair. Have you ever considered that? As far as I can tell, you have are so committed to taking care of your sisters but your family life sucks. Perhaps looking after someone else’s kids in a nice family situation might be an option. Some au pairs get to go on holiday with the family. Something to think about.

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

I found the course really interesting @outlander. It actually awakened some memories of University when I did my nursing degree. We had extensive psychology and behavioural sciences subjects plus mental health nursing subjects. It was good to reignite those otherwise unused bits of information, so yes I enjoyed the course.

Awww shucks about the social worker thing. I just want to use a set of knowledgeable skills in order to help those in the community who are otherwise vulnerable. I realised I wouldn't make a good nurse or pathology worker, so this is more 'me'.

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

Yeah this is the 5th certificate of achieviment courses and a certificate in medical terminology @soul time for abit of a break i think.
Hmm im not sure i want to look after anyone elses kids.
I think it would be really great to be a montor or peer supporter for other kids and teenagers though.
@soul

Thanks @Former-Member yeah i only use this thread for my courses not all the time.

@Queenie i found it interesting too though some of it i done the whole stare at the screen and say huh lol. Im glad you want to do this. Nursing isnt for everyone. Not sure if its for me or not though. Thats why these taster courses are good
