Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

It seems to be a mix of anatomy and physiology- which is great. They are both interesting.
I found endocrine and nervous systems hard, but you get such a sense of satisfaction when you get it.
Do you have a final exam at the end?

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

It looks good though, lots of interesting stuff. And really good if you wanted to go into do health related stuff later.
Wish you the best for the assessments. How do you plan to study- a little each day or a big lump once a week?

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

That sounds like a really good plan- that way when you have days that you can't study you won't fall behind. 😊
I should get out of bed and do my own study..... 😢😖😭

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

What kind of a review do you do after each video?
If it was me, while watching it I would take full notes of everything. Then I would summarise my notes for the big important points. Good ways to do this is with a mind-map, flow diagram, or drawing the structures involved. I would then leave it a day and come back and see how much of that mind-map I remembered and review it. I would add the bits I originally missed and then go back and re-read the notes in full. I would then have another go at summarising them - hopefully remembering more of it this time around. Then I would write questions (usually the 'learning objectives' at the start of a lecture are what I use) and then I try to answer them from memory. A day later I re-write the answers looking at my notes and then repeat again a few days later.
By now you should be sick to death of that topic, but you will remember heaps and it will stick in your brain for a long time.
Does that help @outlander?

Re: 6 weeks until my final study exam!!

Doing it this way will take an hour or two each day for a week to do each topic. It's laborious but you will remember sooo much more if you put in some decent time each day. You need to look at the same material at least 3 separate times for you to be able to remember and understand it. Science takes a lot of hard work, but I personally think it's totally worth it!
And remember to stay focused on your end-goal. Which I think was to be a PT? Even if you think about how what you're studying relates to that it will help with focus and motivation.
