sew sew

sew sew

For the past few days I've been sewing and more unpicking a pair of shorts, I've unpicked what I've done so far at least 3 times now at the stage where I'm satisfied with what I've sewn so far, I don't sew as much as I want to and I've sewn 2 pairs of shorts I don't remember how I put the pattern together must be seniors moments happening again, I do a little, then outside for fresh air I'm getting there hoping they fit when I'm finished fingers and toes crossed

Re: sew sew

@Spitfire1 Good on you.

way back in the day, I sewed a lot, not done much in years, but did enjoy a couple mending jobs this month. I don't like throwing things out unless they are really past it.

Love your so so pun. Lol

Hello@Spitfire1

It's nice to keep our mind busy and distracted rather than focusing on negative thoughts. Do you like gardening? Plant some veggie seeds, fruit or flowers. The weather is good for it.

Re: sew sew

I love gardening I planted a few plants around the water tank but they've past it now lack of water ha ha, the hose does reach it which I did use the neighbour became upset about it when I used it said it was disturbing him I don't use it now, I planted mint, peppermint in pots now which is in easy reach to my hose closer to my cottage which I'll use in cooking next maybe cherry tomatoes in a pot plants that I use must go well in pots, have a sewing group I belong to I've asked on there it's the next step on sew sew

Re: sew sew

It's awesome you like to mend Appleblossom it does keep your brain busy even if it's tedious it's also great that instead of throwing something out you reuse it even those horrid paper recycled shopping bags I use in my small garbage bin.

Re: sew sew

@Appleblossom @Spitfire1 I diligently mended for years but have given up... loss of eyesight, fine motor skills and confidence. There's a couple of knitting projects I want to finish before starting another.

I want to sow some alyssum and heartsease in the next few days. I have some spearmint in the garden and native mint in a pot.

Re: sew sew

I love the flow of the pun - so so - sew - sow

lol

Beautiful

@Spitfire1 @Dimity @Misty7

I been a gardener for decades, sewing for longer... punning is really recent. Better late than never. But yes, we can only do what we can do. Trying to be a realist.

My next few salads will be from the garden. Been Recycling all life long ... and then keep going ..lol

Re: sew sew

What a lovely talented group of gardeners and crafty people I've spoken to about plants & mending or sew sew. I could talk about these topics with anyone all night long but we wouldn't get our beauty sleep now would we.
