Carers under 30...

Carers under 30...

Im just wondering if theres any young carers on here?
Im 20 and would love to have people around this age bracket to talk to.

Re: Carers under 30...

abit stressful @Former-Member im trying to do the last assignment left and its so hard and stressing about my appointment coming up with the surgical team.

pops abit down atm cause he has bronchitits and thinks that becasue someones not here every day talking to him that he only has one daughter (which is my mum) etc but i cant do all that much or expect everyone to constantly come over all the time as they work and have some outside work commitments too. he gets visitors usually 4+ times a week. i suggested him to join a mens car club or something so he can meet others and then maybe he wont feel at home all the time and make some other friends as well but he wants nothing to do with that.
Ive brought some pill dispensers as well so i can keep better track of the medication hes taking, his scripts etc as well.

Geriatrics do get set in their ways @outlander 😬

. Did Pop have any particular interests when younger that have an outside chance of being revived?

Re: Carers under 30...

yes thats for sure @Former-Member
his main interests were his music and the cars. hes still interested in both but doesnt want to join in groups or anything. when the car shows come around i take him to them though and he has a friend but he lives in another state but usually twice a yr he comes up for a visit and stays for a few nights and his mate comes over here and they have a guitar session or 2.

@outlander you can lead a horse to water ...it is frustrating though when you can see that there are available activities that could enrich our loved ones lives.

Is the tablet system working well?

When is your next appt?

Re: Carers under 30...

yes unfortunatly that saying is very true in this lifetime @Former-Member
ive only started it since yesterday so its a little harder to tell. if its not quite right i may go to the chemist and get them to do a medication blister pack for the ones he can have in there so not the eye drops etc.

my next appt is on monday (not tomorrow) ive bene told to expect around an hr or 2 consult with the surgical team not inlcuding the waiting times to actually get in to see the surgical team but i have to be there before 930 no matter how long the wait is.
