Managing relationships

How do you even manage a relationship when you are irritable?

How do you even manage a relationship when you are irritable?

Without being properly medicated, it feels impossible to manage a relationship. I've ruined my relationships with my close ones, family. My brothers don't talk to me anymore. It feels like I don't exists.

Hi @Silverlinin, welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing how you feel. It's wise to engage with peers to talk through issues like these which sound like are naturally causing you much frustration. The fallout of relationships are usually very painful.

I'm thinking there are two possible things to discuss with peers on this forum based on your brief description, but we will be guided by you.

One is medication management - what are the obstacles to "being properly medicated"?

The other is perhaps to explore the underlying issues causing irritability.

Is there anything more you would like to share?

Hi @Silverlinin

Relationships are difficult even without irritability. I’m sorry you feel like you don’t exist. That must be really challenging and unpleasant to deal with. Have there been any relationships that have worked in the past? Do you know what’s causing the irritability? Hopefully you’ll find some form of connection here.

@Silverlinin When I'm feeling irritable I know my energy system is out of alignment. I do a morning practice which roughly takes me under 10 minutes to bring my body back into balance. The rigors of daily living plus managing illness can throw our energies off which accounts for the way we feel. The energy patterns running through the body when they are misaligned can make you feel irritable. I do the Eden Method morning routine. Its free off you tube and for a small investment in time can lead to big leaps in your overall wellbeing.
