The passing of my mum
I lost my mum nearly 3 weeks ago. She was hit by a car as she was walking to my car. I feel responsible.

Hello@mumandme,
So sorry to hear of your loss at this incredibly difficult time. May she rest in peace. You might like to light a candle for her as a nice gesture in her memory. Please do not be hard on yourself. Take it easy. There's probably not much else that I can say to soothe you. But know that you are supported on here. Sending many hugs 🤗

Hi @mumandme, I can't imaging how traumatic this sudden loss of your mum must be for you. A daughter losing her mum is one of life's toughest events, in your case even harder given the circumstances. Three weeks is so recent. Do you have trusted support people you can talk to about your feelings when you are ready? You don't have to go through this alone.
As @BAO says, peer support is available through the Recovery Club and this forum.
Some States have free counselling for road trauma (I'm not sure of their wait times so it may be good to register in case you want it later on):
NSW has free face-to-face and national Telehealth grief counselling: https://nalag.org.au
Please let us know how you are at the moment, does it still feel unreal or has the reality hit?
