Lost my sister, struggling

Lost my sister, struggling

I lost my sister a week and a half ago and I feel this incredible pain in my heart - everything feels like such an effort. When will the hurt subside?

Hi @WorrierWoman, thank you for reaching out for support on this forum. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your sister, I can't imagine your pain. Nobody should go through that alone.

It won't seem like it right now, but the hurt will subside. However everyone's timeline and way of grieving is unique to them. Your sister's passing is still so very recent. It takes time to process the huge change to your world and to re-orient yourself. Treat yourself gently and patiently - try to take a day at a time, even an hour at a time. Thank you so much for your kind reply, and for sharing these resources. I will try to take it slowly, and be kind to myself, and process everything that is coming up for me.

Take care, WW
