Goooood evening all! How have we been?
I've been absolutely exhausted today, bedtime can't come soon enough it seems. I'm starting a new job next week that I need to be awake at 7am for- usually I'm only barely moving by 11am, so I'm struggling with the transition. I was supposed to have a therapy appointment this afternoon, and I set an alarm and everything but my eyes were so heavy that I managed to sleep through it ://
While I was out in the Red Center, one of my nails came off (I wear acrylics constantly cos if I don't I bite my nails to the point they're constantly infected) so I went down to a local nail salon and got a refill after only a week:(
I was also meant to go see my partner today but with all my exhaustion I ended up staying home, and then two of my friends rocked up so I cooked a massive batch of pasta for us all for dinner. They've only left about an hour ago.
I've also been . incredibly fixated on a mobile game this week. I have I think 30 hours in the last 5 days. My poor battery life 😭
Going for shower now, hope everyone's been okay!!

I'm averaging about 5 hours a day on this game somebody help me (silly)
I've had . the best weekend. For my birthday a few months ago, my parents got me 2 tickets to see one of my favourite musicals ever, and my boyfriend and I have been planning a little weekend away for it since. I booked and paid for the hotel on the condition he paid for all the food, and it was such a beautiful trip into town.
The hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly and I got some orange juice on the way back from the show, and we sat in the bath and had a few glasses together just cuddling and chatting, it was so nice.
We had buffet breakfast and I had an omlette for the first time in a while. I remember why I don't eat omlettes often anymore LOL
But now I'm back home and my room is a mess, and I need to clean it because I genuinely can't see my floor anymore :/ I'm usually really on top of it all, so this sudden overwhelming clutter is . overwhelming me
Gonna put on a video probably and see what I can get done, I've taken my ADHD medication so hopefully that'll help me out! Not sure if I want breakfast or not, but I'll figure something out.

@wateravoidant Hello friend. How are you going? It sounds like you had a wonderful time away. I’m really glad you got a break and we’re gifted tickets to a musical. What a great birthday present. How are you going with the bedroom. Don’t stress yourself too much just do what you can do even if just little bits.

@Cuddlebear Thank you for your kind words <3
I'm doing alright, taken out my dishes and hung up some clothes but mainly been laying on my bed with my cat. How are you?
I think I'll try and do clothing first then go through my bags and everything, that's my usual order. Except I typically make my bed first so I can put everything on there, but . cat in the way

That’s awesome @wateravoidant ! Gah not a fan of snakes but they have there place I like the tree snakes and the Simpson’s pythons some of the colours of some of the tree snakes are so cool. When camping we saw a snake eating a baby bird. The poor mother bird was flying around the wondering where in went. That was sad but that’s nature I guess I hope she had at least another baby the mother bird and hope the snake didn’t go for seconds 🙈 but the snake was beautiful, such awesome colours. I mad me sure my swag was well zipped up 🤣🤭
Hope you flu is going ok I’m just getting over something myself 😷. Hehe that question on what you caught was in response to you thread title hehe 😊

Flu is gone finally I think!! I still have a bit of a stuffy nose, but all the joint pain and fatigue etc etc is gone :)
If anyone remembers me talking about my new job, I started a couple weeks ago and it's going really well. The person who I'm replacing trained me, and their final shift was the other day, so my next shift is gonna be my first time doing it on my own ouughhuhguh. The pay is semi-decent, $25/hr for a part-time position, but my hours are super flexible. I can come in whatever day at whatever time and work for however long I want, which I really appreciate.
At the moment I'm working 2 days a week, but I also get to keep my DSP from Centrelink which is gonna save my ass if/when I get sick and/or burnt out, as I'll be doing my TAFE course starting Monday week. I'm nervous to start, I haven't really done any prep cos i've been quite unwell.

I'm going to rehome my lizard, I'm not looking after him well enough, and I'd rather he'd be with his mate. HOWEVER! In moving him out I'll get a large portion of my bedroom back. I'm thinking that I'll move my figurine shelf to where the enclosure is currently, and I'll get my microphone stand out of storage and set it up again. I think if I'm handling TAFE and work well, I might look in to getting a bird or something so I can have a pet in my room again- one that makes so much noise I can't possibly ignore them.
My partner keeps birds, and I love sitting in their living room and listening to them all chirp away happily. I want to make sure I can look after them properly, though. I want to try and train them to be handleable, and sit on my head while I'm at my desk, etc etc. Birds are so cool.
This morning I got up around 11am, took my meds and played my game (still Egg Inc., highly reccomend), and looked at my webcam and realised that I hadn't showered in over a week. So I went and did that, even used body wash which I never do, and felt so much better afterwards. I've since tidied a lot of my room, I still have two shelves in my wardrobe that are covered in mess. Probably a job for tomorrow.
I had a friend meant to come over today, but she got caught up helping family so I'll be seeing her tomorrow instead I believe. Then I get boyfriend on Monday!!
