I am so, so sorry I missed your shoutout until now! I only just this afternoon discovered the notifications of this thread!

I'm guessing that the forums automatically logged me out at some point during one of the recent upgrades, but I didn't notice until today. I have been checking in on the forums on more or less a daily basis, but because I was (unknowingly) doing it as an unlogged-in visitor, I wasn't seeing the notifications of my name being mentioned.

This is actually my first post on the forums since the format's been changed. Have to say, I'm not loving the new format. We don't even get emojis anymore! :-(

It's been a while since we were in contact, @chibam. Is life plodding along on its merry way? It is SO good to hear from you! I haven't logged on for a few days, but I have just done so today. I found 33 emails, but most were from peppypatty to others. The system seems to be malfunctioning. Anyway, I went back to check if any were posts for me and I found yours. I was so pleased! I hadn't noticed the missing emojis. I see you're making your own. I'm not getting coffee invites or invites for birthday greetings to members either. I guess the new system has developed a mind of its own. So, how are things? I'm truly plodding these days. Life goes its merry way. Nothing exciting. I just keep busy. I'm doing alright and I hope you are too.

@Historylover The website seems to be broken to hell. :(

I've barely been able to get the front page of the forums to load over the past 4 days or so. Most of the time, my browser just says "Could not connect to the website."

A lot of design inferiorities to the old system, too, IMHO. Like, right now, as I'm typing this reply, the reply form is a popup box that sits in front of the main thread, instead of as a box that exists at the bottom of the post your replying to. So it essentially blocks out the message your trying to reply to. Can't say I'm a fan.

Also, it appears that they've removed the @ Moderator tag for quickly getting in touch with the management. I tried to just make a post about the connection problems I've been having over the past week or so, and found that I couldn't just address it to @ Moderator, and I had to tag a specific mod instead.

Hopefully, they'll iron all the bugs out sooner rather then later.

Anyways, if you don't hear from me for a while, don't panic; it may be because I can't get on to the website.

@chibam I'd encourage you to also report these issues with the UX to our tech team if you can :)

Thanks, @Jynx . I've reported my connectivity problems. They seem to be looking in to it. I'm assuming they knock off for the weekend, so maybe I might hear back from them Monday/Tuesday.
