Cooee

Hello all

I tried doing a bulk group tag, but was prevented by the glitchywitch. Did not want to leave anyone out. Been trying to work out forum functionality for a while.

Just seeing if I can post a small cooee, and it goes live.

Re: Cooee

hi all

not to bring the vibe down, but if i can be honest,, this is all really getting to me. Conversations are very tricky and i feel like i'm missing the old ability to have some privacy, control etc - i am finding this very triggering. The little icks of things not quite working and not knowing what to do, i dont have the tech energy to report each thing or udnerstand if i will get responses there, as there is so much delay with everything. Its triggering me no end

@EternalFlower it's being temperamental just to test what I wrote

Re: Cooee

@dogman79 its very upsetting and when i'm tagged i dont see it, and when i do see it and click on it it takes me to just the first page of that thread so i dont know who tagged me or where, and in addition i feel overall psychologically unsafe here, although i'm safe.

Re: Cooee

@dogman79 oh i can see it now, thank u, i ddint know what ppl were referring to with those images loading. Technology/social media can be a trigger, and also i'm going through a bit of a change /vulnerability as I await starting therapy next week. It all makes me feel like a burden, like if i don't like it, log off type thing, rather than finding the support here. I'm very confused why this upgrade happened. I cannot see any advantages to us as participants, but I can see some advantages to sane I guess, although this is for peers, hence our voices should be equal. Peer spaces have lost meaning to me over the years, seeing how eventually they just become a clinical space where someone has power over me and tells me how they want things to be.

Re: Cooee

Hello @EternalFlower,

Thank you so much for your comment. We completely hear you and understand why this liminal space is vulnerable to sit in, so we can assure you that whilst the forums are glitching at the moment, they won't be this way forever. 💛

Nonetheless, I understand how overwhelming experiencing triggers can be, especially when you're reaching out for support. So I am wondering, whilst our tech team are working to resolve these issues, what other supports could you connect with?

I often suggest ListenWell, the peer-led warmline, as well as Beyond Blue's forums/phone line. I find BlueKnot is a really helpful support to call for brief C-PTSD counselling too.

What are your thoughts on trying some of these out for now?

Looking forward to hearing from you and hoping that you are able to connect to something soothing today as well. 🥰

Re: Cooee

@AuntGlow blue knot is a 9-5 service, so i think that one is a bit out of bounds for me at the moment.

No worries.

I'm not so keen on calling Beyond Blue, I don't feel super verbal atm. It is fine if this service isn't able to offer support at the moment. Due to a complex experience recently when I was unwell interacting with sane, I'll just keep quiet as can be. Good luck everyone.

Re: Cooee

@DogMan79 that is a bit unnerving. Privacy breeches as such can be very upsetting
