Something’s not right

a breach of my privacy

a breach of my privacy

@moderator i have just noticed that @AlwaysMyself has supported "my posts" on my silent battles thread but the thing is i never posted anything on that thread because i am unable to. the site wont allow me to post anything on the notifications so please look into this as this could be/is a breach of my privacy.

Re: a breach of my privacy

Thanks for sharing that, that’s really helpful for members to know @Captain24 😊

Hopefully that makes it a bit easier for people to stay connected while the technical issues are being worked through. We really appreciate everyone’s patience at the moment

I also wanted to check in, how are you doing today?

Re: a breach of my privacy

Not real good @Nala2022 but I can’t really post anything as I’m limited to how much I can post. More triggering and trauma this is causing.

Re: a breach of my privacy

I’m really sorry to hear things aren’t feeling good at the moment @Captain24, and that the posting limitations are adding to how overwhelming and triggering this feels. I really hope it gets resolved soon. In the meantime, is there anyone or any other supports you feel able to reach out to?

Re: a breach of my privacy

Not really @Nala2022 I don’t really have anywhere else to turn too. I feel stupid for calling a crisis line over how distressing the forums are. That’s just stupid to be this distressed. I can’t even see posts in the other thread now and that’s distressing me too.

Re: a breach of my privacy

I’m really sorry you’re feeling this overwhelmed, and I want to reassure you it’s not stupid at all to feel distressed by this or to call a crisis line @Captain24. Crisis supports like Lifeline are there for exactly these kinds of moments, even when things feel triggered by situations like this. When something that’s usually a support for you isn’t working properly and feels harder to access, it's understandable to feel unsettled. We're here for you 💛

Re: a breach of my privacy

Thanks @Nala2022. I’m really not coping and it’s getting pretty dire on my end. I’m just going to leave and may come back next weekend and see if things have changed. I’m not holding my breath though. Being on here just isn’t worth the lack of safety is causing me and I don’t believe I’m the only one. Thanks for supporting me.

Re: a breach of my privacy

I'm really sorry to hear how tough things are feeling right now. It sounds like you're carrying an awful lot, and I'm glad you let me know @Captain24. If stepping away from the forums feels like the right thing for you at the moment, I respect that. What matters most right now is your safety.

Given what you've shared, I'd really encourage you to reach out to someone today rather than sitting with this on your own. Whether that's someone you trust, a crisis helpline, or something else, whatever feels most supportive for you right now.

Please take good care of yourself 💛

Re: a breach of my privacy

hi @captain24 i thought maybe i was the only one who was getting triggered. It feels like swimming through mud, and a real inability to express it safetly, psychologically unsafe and traumatising.

I actually feel i'm getting retraumatised, so i might also stay away

I also got somebody else's notifications earlier. Not a thread I had posted in

I refreshed the page and they were gone with just my legitimate notifications left

Re: a breach of my privacy

I feel like I am missing something here, as to the context of "a breach of my privacy".

... I caught up on reading older posts (as I had been absent for over 2 weeks) and Supported posts in threads...?

Is the concern that someone was getting a notification not meant for them (as DogMan said has experienced), or that they felt somehow their post should not be visible despite all posts on the forum being visible to the public (even without a login)?

I don't understand and think I must be missing something in the context here @moderator @Nala2022

Sorry if it caused any concern for you @Bunniekins @EternalFlower @Flutterbug9 @Captain24 or others; not intended. At the time I wasn't even aware of the forum glitches as I had not yet tried replying to a post and was just catching up on old readings.
