New SANE Forums Now Live

Why am I not getting all replies? Just a couple. I can’t respond to old threads. I’ve struggle to post a new thread. It took me 4 goes. It’s so slow and it’s not working properly on my phone. I only use this and it’s pretty distressing. I understand that it’s new but are teams only working on it Monday-Friday or will they be working over the weekend to try and fix the issues?

I lodged a tech issue thing days ago and get a reply overnight that the posting issue is fixed. What the?? Like why???

sorry the tech issues, mod changes and inconsistencies are upsetting everyone. The tagging does take a lot longer now, and is a bit stressful. I can like posts now but when I am tagged in something and I click on it, it does not take me to the right place.

Dear Forumites,

Thank you for your ongoing patience as we resolve the issues with the new platform. We understand how frustrating these issues are, but rest assured we are continuing to work on stabilising the platform. This post is provides some updates on fixes we've been working on.

Error messages on accessing or posting to the Forums

Users have been reporting different errors encountered when opening posts or creating their own posts. Brower errors 406 and 503, as well as the orange banner message "Reply could not be posted. Please try again". We have deployed a fix for this so are hopeful that users no longer see these issues.

Frequent logging out

Members have been reporting frequent session timeouts. We are investigating why this is occurring, but have increased the session times in an effort to remediate the issue in the short term.

Notifications

We continue to have issues with EMAIL notifications. Email notifications remain disabled. We are working on a fix which is planned for deployment this coming Wednesday (1 July). All notifications are still available via the bell icon next to your profile picture.

User Profiles

Unfortunately access to the user profile page remains disabled as we continue to implement a much needed fix. We plan to bring this back online on Wednesday 1 July.

Performance

A deployment will be made tomorrow morning (30 June) that should see a marked improvement to performance.

@EternalFlower similar thing has been happening to me with tags, I've reported that one :)

It can be challenging too when things don't work as expected or slower than before, for sure. Alas I think ironing out the wrinkles will take some time, but we are working through it all step by step, day by day. Thanks for reporting <3
