Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Re: Riding a wave

I totally agree with you about the need for transparency, @Phoenix_Rising.

And yes, I’ve been at uni for a bazillion years. It’s not about the money for me at all either. It’s wanting to make a valuable contribution to the world but being too unwell to manage that. I’m not even able to volunteer at the moment, which makes me feel so useless. Also knowing that (just to go off on a tangent) if I could access the help I need that I could be a lot better than I am—but knowing how impossible it is to fund that sort of intensive therapy or even find someone willing to undertake it with me. Sorry, enough of my sooking.

I'm sure you must be tucking up inside your shell shortly. I hope you sleep well. 🐢🌷

Re: Riding a wave

@Former-Member I am walking away from the laptop right now but I just wanted to let you know how much I hear you. I'm not sure how much you know of my story, but I am currently searching for my 13th therapist since February last year. It has been utterly traumatizing. So yep, I get what you mean about trying to find a helpful helping person! I do have to head off now, but I'm super glad we can sit together in our respective muddles at the bottom of the ocean.

Ps. I see you @CheerBear. Yay for me - I just knew my not-friend was around here somewhere.

Who could resist an underwater cave with stories? Thank you, @Phoenix_Rising. Bookish the scaredy-cat might have to float on down in her little book-pod (picture a cosy bubble-type vehicle lined with cushions and books) so she doesn't get wet though. 😊

Good night, @Phoenix_Rising. 🐢🌷

Re: Riding a wave

I was in a nest writing an I'm here but not tonight post @Phoenix_Rising, which I guess means I was in a cave in a nest while you were in my pocket too. I'm also in a blanket because I have a messy head tonight. Hi again @Former-Member, who knows about messy heads also 😊

I'll say goodnight here instead of there and then head back there before I head to bed here.

Night ☺

Re: Riding a wave

Hi @Phoenix_Rising 🙂

I am the moderator watching over the ocean tonight. Dr.Suess' work is wonderful, isn't it? "Oh the places you'll go!" is especially inspirational.

I know that there were some big waves today, so I just wanted to let you know the Little Mermaid will be watching over the ocean tonight.

Re: Riding a wave

@Phoenix_Rising .... you’ve gone to bed now, but I just wanted to drop this here for you for the morning .....

You are so articulate in the way you write, I’m thinking that there must be a niche for you as a writer, perhaps of psych-related articles based on your qualifications. I know bloggers can draw an income via sponsorship, but this is usually through sales of products, so it would seem that is not viable to your areas of interest .... dunno ..... there might be forumites more knowledgeable than me who are able to offer proper advice ..... this is just a concept to toy with. I have no idea whether it is any good to you ..... hoping that it is .....

Goodnight little turtle ..... 💤🐢

Re: Riding a wave

Hey little turtle @Phoenix_Rising

A quick 'swim by' to let you know something... I did get your message the other day when you told me I was your second favourite forumite I was really touched by it (actually cried alot but that was pretty much all I did for about a week so crying happy tears was a nice change ).

I really wanted to reply then but just have not been up to it - so doing it now

Sometimes I can't accept things that are said to me (compliments etc.) for many reasons including not trusting anyone and not feeling I deserve nice things said but I know that what you say is 100% what you mean - and as I have told you before - that is a refreshing change. I NEVER am left in any doubt that what you say here has a double meaning or is not at all what you mean - you speak your truth and you are very honest in what you say. I super like you little turtle and I am so very pleased you are here (even when you are being disrespectful and offensive lol). For whatever reason - some people enter our lives and lift us up without even knowing - just by being themselves - you are one that does that for me - and that is something that I absolutely cherish on here.

Gonna smack you in the head with a flying loveheart now - so get ready to duck lol ......

Re: Riding a wave

Hi @Phoenix_Rising. Wondering how your day has been today. I hope it's been ok for you. It's Turtle Whisperer Tuesday by the way (which I'm guessing you probably know 😉 ).

I meant to say how awesome it was to read that you've finished your marking gig, or most of it, also. Great work on getting me to the yoga thread again too!

Thank you for the inappropriate giggles you were behind today (and the pocket company). It makes things a million times more doable to know I have such great company wherever I am.

I'm heading to the shower and then will possibly fall asleep within moments of my head hitting the pillow, so before I head there I wanted to say goodnight here.

Night not-friend 🙂

Re: Riding a wave

Good evening to everyone out on the ocean. My turtle whisperer was running late and then we had a slightly longer-than-usual session. I am superly duperly tired, but I will check in properly tomorrow. @CheerBear @Zoe7 @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member.

@Former-Member who is watching the ocean tonight?

Night.
