Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Naw you two @CheerBear and @Phoenix_Rising - this has made my evening!! I had the biggest grin when i opened that link... i actually said out loud, "that's soooo awesome!". i reckon we need to claim unslumping for many a forum chat. such a lovely tale to listen in the cave 🙂 thankyou!

I had a big smile at the link too and am definitely ok with that being played on repeat all night. I also had a big smile at the 'you two' comment - it feels very together but not 😊

Psssst @CheerBear and @Zoe7, I just wanted to let you know that I'm super loving the conversation we are starting on the DBT thread. I super want to respond but I'm working at pacing myself and waiting until I have the space to give it the time and attention it deserves. Anyway, we need processing time. Hey @Former-Member can you please tell me the story of your Forum Land name? I am curious.

Who else is watching the ocean tonight? I super can't wait until the evenings feel as structured and predictable as the weekdays in Forum Land. You guys aren't going to do anything terrible like have a rotating roster are you? There's no rotating. Rotating is banned...right up there with leaving.

@CheerBear I am ready to snuggle into my shell in your pocket while you snuggle in your blanket in your nest in my cave at the bottom of the ocean. The waves aren't as big tonight as last night, but I still feel safer in my cave.

Hey @Phoenix_Rising 🙂 I'm getting ready to head off somewhere pretty special. This is one of those times I think it would be awesome to have a turtle hanging out with us and I think you'd really enjoy this one. I will pack TT in my handbag as usual and you'll be here but not while I am too.

Speaking of here but not, I don't think I'll be able to hang out at FF tonight because of this adventure. So I was wondering if you might be able to help find me a hangbag or something so I can still travel along please?

I feel super icky. Everything feels wrong without one of the regular moderators at FF. How can I be this superly duperly sensitive to change/abandonment? I think it is more an abandonment-driven big feeling rather than a change-driven big feeling. It has felt wrong all day - even though I knew they were going to be away. And now this big feeling is triggering the giant missing CherryBomb feelings. I am half a millimetre away from tears. I superly duperly miss...everybody.
