Something’s not right

I just need to scream

I just need to scream

Where to start.

i share custody of my kids 15&17 so i see them every second weekend.
currently my 15 yr old is in hospital with an eating disorder which she is getting care for and yesterday the school / ex inform us that our 17yr old has made reference to ending it all after graduation which we are now looking further into. Then I get home last night to find my cat oozing some sort of pink goo from the back of his neck which requires a vet visit tonight. Which will now buckle me financially.
I don’t know how much more I can take I am mentally , emotionally, physically and financially bankrupt and I can not see any light at the end of the tunnel right now.

I know there’s nothing anyone can do about it but not having my own support network I just needed to vent and get it off my chest before my head explodes.

And yes I have spoken to some services but I have a slight distrust after my last couple of interactions.

Re: I just need to scream

Hi @Beleth

It sounds like there's a lot on your shoulders right now so I'm glad that you've been able to use this space to vent and talk some of it out. I can only imagine how difficult and worrying it would be trying to support your children through their own individual struggles, particularly with the added difficulties of having less time with them.

I'm hoping the vet visit tonight with the cat goes as well as it can, and that it's not too costly. I know those vet prices can really hurt.

I'm hearing that everything is getting to be overwhelming right now, but I hope that this can be a space where you can share whenever it's helpful.

Hi I am a retired family lawyer. Seeing the children every second weekend is tough. When I am feeling overwhelmed I try and get outside and walk it off.
I hope you get some support for your 17 year old. That is a vulnerable age.
A big hug from me. K
