borderline
Borderline
To the psychiatric hospital
I was abruptly sent
To the psychiatrist
I so quickly went
Borderline Personality disorder
The decision had been made
As through the mucky waters of my mind
They did have to wade
At first I didn’t accept it
Because it sounded so silly
But they said it was because
My behaviour was so willy nilly
It was a worry
As I had symptoms Of cluster B
As I was highly emotional
And it was something they could see
I did not believe it
And I so very much resisted
But in therapy it was discussed
And BPD was insisted
I did not like that diagnosis
As it sounded so very weak
So through other therapists
Another diagnosis I did seek
They said it was that I didn’t have strength
And it was something I didn’t lack
But they said it was because of my childhood
They could see in my history
When they looked back
They say a big part is fear of abandonment
Which I didn’t understand
As my childhood was very good
With my parents holding my hand
There is something in my history
But I do not remember
That triggered the so called BPD
And caused my mind to tremor
Obviously talking to my loved ones
Was something they had to do
And in doing so
Had given them a clue
The diagnosis of BPD
Has helped me feel relief
But I still sincerely think
That there is something else there
And that is my belief
