Living together separated
This weekend I will be talking to my spouse about ending our relationship. It's been rocky for a while, they know it's in trouble, but this weekend it will be definite (from my perspective, there is no chance of continuing)
We have a lot of work to do on our home, 2 kids each and they're not working at the moment so we aren't paying our mortgage.
I estimate we will have to live together for another year, minimum.
I said goodbye to this relationship a year or more ago, they are going to really struggle (AuDHD, CPTSD, likely bipolar) but as we all know there aren't a lot of housing options these days
Any tips for managing to live together while we sort ourselves out?
There is no violence or cruelty etc, just a lot of heartache for them and me being in a very much "continue with life and get stuff sorted" mode
It's also tricky as I've supported them emotionally for 8 years, through endless self harm risks and ups and downs, but I can't support them through this despite it being my habit to do so.
