Ok so ive created a new thread that revolves around our garden so its easier to find the pics and stuff rather than jumping from gardening to depression.

good idea @Faith-and-Hope nature is my favourite thing to draw
. i was going to do the stepping stones one but i think i might work up to the harder ones. my drawing are pretty basic at the moment so might work up to that.

Dont worry that your drawings are simple .... simple is good .... and you are developing your own style. It's not even what I would call simple. It's a graphic style, and it's lovely.
Try these stepping stones if you like. I think they suit your graphic drawing style. What do you think ?

My style is generally Realism.
Realism is a style of creating something that our mind will identify as "real" or "close to real".
It has also been referred to as Photorealism in some of my works.
Photorealism isn't a higher form of realism. It's only about creating things so precisely that they can be confused with a photography.
I also paint in an Impressionist style.
Impressionism captures the impression of sonething through the use of colour, generally small, visible brush strokes, a lack of detail, and the use of light in creating the images.
Graphic art is a category of fine art, graphic art covers a broad range of visual artistic expression, typically two-dimensional, i.e. produced on a flat surface.
You can see that it is possible to develop more than one style @outlander, but drawing or painting is about skill development. Some of that comes about through practice, but it also comes through watching what other artists do and taking note of aspects of their work that appeals to you. It can also be studied through "how-to" books or online tutorials. There are often some great drawing books available through book outlets or shopping centre stalls and newsagents .... particularly ones about drawing animals or fantasy figures that might appeal to you, and they are not expensive. They go through step-by-step to create an image.
They would be a good idea for keeping your sisters busy too, if they enjoy drawing, because it quickly gives you impressive results ..... which is very rewarding for children particularly.
