I was signed up without my consent in 2018
I opted out straight away, for vaguely similar reasons. They constantly picked fights about everything (Back then, they wouldn't take "No" for an answer. It's the opposite now. But still loss of autonomy)

Hey @Meeko,
Feeling like you are being violated by a service that is supposed to support you would be so upsetting. Sitting at home alone for 6 days of the week sounds like it's having a major impact on you - are rightfully so! The NDIS is supposed to provide people with support, and your feelings are 100% valid.
It's important that your voice and opinions are heard, so I encourage you to look at reporting this feedback to the NDIS, here is their feedback form: Feedback and complaints form | NDIS
You can also make a report to the NDIS commission here: Report an issue or make a complaint about a provider or worker | NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
If you feel a bit unsure about taking this on by yourself, is there someone in your life that you can ask for some help? 🌿

Hey @Meeko, sound like this news about the NDIS is quite impactful for you which is understandable. I have heard from NDIS workers that it has to be passed through parliament still and it with take a while and probably sometime in 2028 before it's implemented if it is passed. I think if you are in the application stage that it is still worth perusing NDIS and getting an outcome on your application. If you have any contacts in NDIS such as Local Area Coordinators or Support Coordinators it might be worth giving them a call or contacting the NDIS directly: https://www.ndis.gov.au/contact
Just some thoughts that you might find helpful 🙂

Being a former government contractor myself I am familiar with the way these services work staff are being told to refuse extra assistance
