What a brutal turn of events. I am so sorry that this has happened 💚

I want to affirm that your grief is very real. Don't let anyone convince you that it's "just a phone." You lost your archives, pieces of memories and your voice. It is 100% okay to grieve that. It's not too much to feel devastated when your safe space for journaling and your hard work goes underwater.

There is a point in your message that deeply resonates with me: the resentment of being seen as something that needs to be "corrected" back to positivity. When people say things like "calm down," they're just trying to manage their own discomfort with your pain. It's not about you at all; it really just highlights their inability/discomfort to sit with you in that moment while you're feeling the way that you are.

You shouldn't have to be resilient every second of the day. Resilience is exhausting. And sometimes the healthiest thing you can do for yourself is exactly what you said: crumble. You are allowed to be a mess. You are allowed to be angry at the car keys, and the water, and the timing of it all.

I am glad you reached out here. Consider this a space where you don't have to be optimistic or "strong." You can just be a person whose say went completely sideways and whose heart is heavy.

You are absolutely right that feelings are not something that needs to be fixed. And I want you to know that I am sitting here with you in the "suckiness" of it all 💚

Since I decided to renew my lease, my rent will go up by $21.75 per week after the lease renewal period/date 🥲☹️

I remember mum said she would hand me $100 per fortnight if I were to rent a room at another place that costed $450 a week that she wanted me to stay at which I didn’t except because with my current income why would I be paying $450 a week🤨🤨

I’m gonna see if my mum will actually give me it when July comes, when I see her again this week

anyways, the new rent I’ll be paying will be around $425 a week which is still quite a lot so
