The Fates are messing with me.

The Fates are messing with me.

So, barely holding onto reason and life here. I tell my counsellor yesterday that I am so ready to suicide, so exhausted from poverty and other issues in my life that I only need one thing to go wrong and I will be in dangerous waters. So I come home and my niece's car won't work so she has to use mine for a few days. So today I get a call from my niece cause my car has now broken down too. With no money, lol, this is going to get interesting. The Fates are screwing around with me.

Lol, I did tell the counsellor that we ought to play Russian Roulette. Just played soccer Pools with my last $8...I win Monday, I get to live. Fair?

It's ok...just venting.

@trusting101 and @Atalanta, For quite a few years I have held the dream of creating a drop-in centre exactly like you describe. I actually thought I had found such a place near where I live. I sussed it out, explained that I had a lot of trauma related to incidents with police/hospital etc, and they assured me that this was a safe place. Well, a few weeks later I was super struggling and I chose to go there. I walked in and explained that I needed a quiet room and someone to stay with me while I regulated. They showed me into a room, I lay down on the floor and proceeded to do what I do - i.e. lie prostrate on the floor, cry and make a lot of verbal stimming noises. When I opened my eyes, I was alone and the room was in darkness. This triggered bad memories of being locked in seculsion at the hospital. I started screaming and opened the door to find all the MH workers milling around. They started asking me what my surname was. I knew what that meant and told them to please not call anyone. Too late, they had called emergency services!!!!!!! The paramedic who turned up seemed as perplexed as I was as to why he was there and happily he was fine with me going home. So I drove myself home and continued to deal with the big feelings in the privacy and isolation of my own home.

This incident was early last year and it still makes me so angry. They were trained MH professionals for goodness sake. I was lying on the floor making a lot of noise. No risk of harm to self, others, or property. All I needed was someone to sit with me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yes, I totally agree that there needs to be SAFE places like that. I so badly wish I could create a space like that. Hey @NikNik, @CherryBomb @Former-Memberand @Former-Member, can SANE pull a few million dollars out of the air and start creating some spaces like that around the country??? One in every regional town and one in every local council district in each major city should suffice.
