“Span Toolkit” for Suicide Prevention / Awareness in Autism
I really wish people were aware of this, and the research that has been done by these people. I was delighted to see they even have videos explaining their research findings & what this means in practice. 😊

@tyme @AuntGlow (and any others interested) the Toolkit has a lot of fantastic resources and information for clinicians as well as support people and individuals themselves. I highly recommend it.
It also perhaps gives more insight into my own experience in how I think re: my own struggles with the topics, since I relate so strongly to almost all of what I have read/heard so far. The research done by this group of researchers is spot-on from my lived experience. This is why “autism made so much sense” when I found their research earlier this year.
Hope this might be a helpful resource if its not already known of.
The reasons I do not use crisis lines is because they do not understand this. If I knew I could call somewhere and they understood all this and could see it through that lens - then I would use that crisis line. But i am not aware of one that is. (noting that the peer Roses in the Ocean line are not for crisis, they are “we will call you back sometime”.)
